Over lunch yesterday, I was surprised that my fellow pal bought the Jay Chou’s concert tickets without even asking me… *sob sob.. I thought I was gonna be ok with it.. but apparently, deep down inside, I was certainly quite hurt and upset by their opinion of me.
I knew he was coming to town for the concert but I just did not keep track of the dates… no one asked or mentioned about it. The next thing I know tickets were sold out and my pals got the tickets without asking me. When I asked about it, I got the answer – “Ehz… you will pay to watch concert one ah? I thought must pay, you dun wanna watch one..”Good gracious…
I must admit I asked for some free tickets last time… and I was quite anal about going to some concerts that I had to pay for… but… but… it’s JAY… never did it ever cross my mind that I was like some cheapo person who just grab on freebies to my pals… I certainly dun mind paying some money to go watch him AND if I were ever to buy the tickets, I would have called and asked my pals if they wanna me to get for them or not… /sigh
O well… I just have to let this out in writing, sorting my thots and fighting the demons within. Thanks bro for getting the pre-order CD for me. Appreciate the lovely surprise! =)
In any case, all is good… I just have to make mental notes of things changing around me..
1. No more recommendations for food, restaurants and places of interest.
2. Lesser giving away freebies to ppl = Lesser ppl thinking you as a freeloader.
Damnit.. I’m getting jaded soon. lol.
Good I can still laugh. All’s well.
=)
